    Although we do not require permits ourselves, in most areas, yes. It is also the client's responsibility to pull all needed permits and know their specific requirements. Mammoth Metal Structures helps guide customers through local requirements, including wind/snow load compliance and engineering specs needed for approval.

  • What foundation is required for a metal building?

    Metal buildings can be installed on:


    • Concrete slabs (most common) 
    • Gravel or compacted base
    • Asphalt (in some cases) 

    The right foundation depends on how the building will be used. For example, workshops and enclosed garages typically require a concrete slab for stability and longevity.

  • How long does it take to install a metal building?

    Most standard metal buildings can be installed in 1–3 days once the crew is on-site. Larger or more complex structures may take longer. The biggest delays typically come from permitting, site prep, or custom fabrication—not the installation itself.

  • Are metal buildings strong enough for high winds and storms?

    Yes—when properly engineered. Mammoth Metal Structures offers buildings rated for specific wind and snow loads based on your location. This is critical in areas prone to storms or heavy weather. Anchoring method and foundation also play a major role in durability. All of our buildings are engineered to withstand a minimum of 145 MPH Winds and 35 PSF Snow.

  • Can I customize the size, layout, and features of my metal building?

    Absolutely. Metal buildings can be customized with:
